Terms & Conditions

All orders are subject to our Terms and Conditions of trading. Full terms and conditions are available upon request.

Payments... Payment should be made when placing an order and are acceptable by cheque, major credit (Switch, MasterCard, Visa and American Express) and debit cards. Cheques should be made payable to Ampersand Lifestyle Limited, please be aware that cheque payments require 5 working days to clear our bank.

Ownership/Risk...We will not despatch the goods until we are in receipt of full payment in cleared funds.

Prices... We reserve the right to increase/decrease prices regardless of any existing price list at any given time. Prices will only be accepted as firm, upon official receipt of an order by Ampersand Lifestyle Limited.

Description... All descriptions and particulars furnished in the price literature and other documents issued by us are as accurate as possible. All dimensions and measurements are approximate. We reserve the right to change products and specification without notice.

Complaints... We aim to provide you with high quality goods and service. English Law... This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.

Delivery... Ampersand Lifestyle Ltd delivers hundreds of orders every week throughout Great Britain. Delivery is normally straightforward but mishaps do occur from time to time. In the event of the delivery not going to plan we politely ask you to let us know of any problems and to comply with the following conditions:
Delivery is normally charged by weight and volume and/or by the pallet. The delivery cost, if applicable, will be advised at the time of order. There may be a delivery surcharge in some instances (for example the Isle of Wight, some parts of Scotland, etc.) and this would be seen in your order summary. If it does not appear it is advisable to check if any surcharge is to be added.

Many items are delivered free of charge, especially during a sale or offer period. Offers on delivery apply to UK mainland only (not including Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isles and Central London), so please check if additional charges apply to your order.
Should you wish us to send goods to another country please do contact us as we regularly arrange the transportation of overseas orders and would be happy to provide a quotation for this.
It is the customer's responsibility to make adequate arrangements for the goods to be accepted and all deliveries must be signed for on receipt, unless prior arrangements have been made with Ampersand Lifestyle Ltd direct.
Most orders are delivered on pallets to the property boundary nearest the kerbside. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure adequate arrangements are made for receiving and unloading of the items from the pallet (should items arrive on a pallet). All other deliveries will be to the front door of the property.

No refunds or claims will be settled as a result of goods being delayed or delivered late for reasons beyond our control. After delivery the disposal of any pallets and packaging is the responsibility of the customer.
Any loss or extra costs incurred by Ampersand through the customers delivery instructions, lack of instructions, failure or delay in taking the delivery, or through any acts on the part of the customer, its servants, agents or employees, may result in any such charges being recovered from the customer by ampersand Lifestyle Ltd.  

We are unable to make deliveries where the conditions would jeopardise the safety of the delivery driver.
We endeavour to ensure that all our products are delivered in perfect condition. Once your order is delivered, we ask the customer to thoroughly check all goods as it is the customer’s responsibility to sign for their order. No claims can be made for damaged items or shortages on deliveries unless the carrier’s paperwork has been signed accordingly. Our carrier personnel will ask you to sign for the goods confirming that the goods have been received in good condition and complete. If this is not the case please sign all carrier paperwork as damaged.

In the event of any damages we ask you to not accept the damaged items. If possible, do not reject the entire order but only reject the damaged items. We will then replace the damaged items as soon as possible.
In the event of short or wrongly delivered items, please again sign all carrier paperwork accordingly and notify our offices within 24 hr.

Should you discover an item damaged after deliver please inform us within 24 hours of delivery with the details of the item/s damaged. We often would require photographic details of the damaged item in question in order to assist the speed of the replacement for you.

If an items needs to be replaced and sent back to us, please keep all packaging as the damaged item will be required to be repackaged in the original wrapping for assessment once back at the warehouse.  Ampersand Lifestyle Ltd will then be able to take this up with the carriers and make sure a replacement part or item is despatched to you at the earliest opportunity. If the items is found not to be damaged we would not refund the customer.

If any of the goods have been used, or are unavailable for collection, in certain circumstances Ampersand Lifestyle Limited will not be able to replace them.

Any items rejected at the time of delivery and subsequently re-delivered will be subject to a re-delivery charge and this will be advised at time of re-delivery.

Any faulty or damaged goods that cannot be replaced they will be refunded. Refunds will be processed within 30 days.

We reserve the right to substitute goods to a similar value if we are unable to supply you with replacement goods to the original specification.

Should you wish to cancel your order please contact our office as soon as possible. No refunds will be made for special order items. No deposits will be refunded for cancellation of orders.

Should you wish to amend your order in anyway please inform our office and we will do our best to assist you with your request. Your statutory rights remain unaffected

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects and material / workmanship defects.

All of our items are guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from the date of purchase/receipt, and additionally some items carry guarantees of up to five years - please enquire about guarantees at the time of ordering.

Many of our products are made with natural materials and/or are hand finished, and so variations in colour, finish, grain, texture and pattern cannot be avoided and claims for defects in such items will be at the discretion of Ampersand Lifestyle Ltd.

Natural weathering is a feature of many of our products and no claims will be entered into for damages and changes in appearance caused by weathering, wear and tear, damage, abuse or incorrect assembly and use of any of our products.

In cases of extreme weather many of our products will require additional protection. No claims will be entered into for items damaged by fire/storm/ flood. Products should be protected in particular from high winds which may cause product and/or structural damage.

In the event of any claim we may ask you to produce your original receipt / proof of purchase. No claims will be entered into without your original receipt/proof of purchase.
